What is HDR? HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. To get a better understanding of what HDR photography means click HERE.

This tutorial is done using Photomatix HDR Software. I have tried a number of different programs and I believe this to be the best. Easy to use and the results are second to none. Use promo code EdinChavez  to get a 15% discount when you purchase this software.

To achieve this you need to shoot in brakets, what this means is that you must have one or more images underexposed, one exposed at its normal exposure, and one or more over exposed. I bracket 3 shots with 1 stop between them.

nik - when i was trying it out with a sample download i used only one image “underexposed” it by lowering the contrast in photoshop and “overexposed” the original by pumping the contrast to make 3 then applied the hdr sample and got results that gave me a pretty good idea of what it would be like, cool process even with the promo code though i can’t afford it :(
been enjoying your B/W lately btw
