Shot of the Day-Flower of the Sun

Yesterday I took my photo club out to the Everglades National Park. It was rainy and the skies were dark. Lots of people say they love to shoot in clear sunny days, but I couldn’t disagree more. I think this type of weather is the best weather to shoot in, you have crazy cloud formations, beautiful colors and of course it makes for a better story.

We headed out and before we entered the park there is this fruit stand called Robert is Here, this is where I saw this really cool field of Sun Flowers, so of course I had to stop and take some photos….This was my first time here and I was mind blown, what an beautiful place. If you ever make it to South Florida, make some time to go to the Everglades, you will not be disappointed…

Shot of the Day-When the lights come on

Hi peeps, this is one of the last photos on my recent trip, we were trying to get a sunset but the fog and clouds would not allow the sun to come through. So you must work with what you got right? So I waited until the sun was fully set and rocked out a long exposure with a ND filter. This is HWY 1 right outside SF. Check out this vid to see how you can use a ND filter on your next long expo. Spread the love peeps…

Shot of the Day-Paradise Inn

Good morning peeps, I just got back from the West Coast from an amazing 7 day trip, 4,366 photos on my cam, plus a few on the cell phone. I am exhausted but have lots of great stories. From Reno NV to Santa Cruz CA and everything in between. Shot with some amazing photographers, made some funky videos, had some great food and tequila shots with my great crazy friends, wine tastings in Napa, amazing views on HWY 1, lots of walking and exploring, lots of laughs and naps, and of course got to off road my rental car:)I almost forgot all the tolls and parking tikets here and there… Perks of the job I suppose.

This is a photo of a little motel in Santa Cruz CA. I was looking for a pakring spot to go get a bite but of course lots of photos got in-between. I have been here a million times and I love this place, there is just something in the air that is just cool… After this photo we finally parked, ate, and carried on with the journey… Thank you so much to everyone that put a smile on my face and partook on this awesomeness.
